Lima - Puerto Maldonado - Cuzco - Machu Picchu - Puno

See the main attractions around Peru, starting your trip in Lima. Fly into Puerto Maldonado, the heart of the Amazon rainforest for an amazing adventure. Head to the heart of Incan civilization to Sacred Valley and immerse yourself in the architectural wonder of Machu Picchu. Drive to Puno on the shores of Lake Titicaca one of South America’s largest lakes.

Day 1: Arrive Lima

Arrive in Lima. You will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2: Lima

City tour of Lima and visit Larco Museum.

Day 3: Lima – Puerto Maldonado

Transfer to airport for your flight to Puerto Maldonado. Upon arrival and check-in at hotel, our afternoon activities involve walking the Conception trails and a twilight river excursion

Day 4: Puerto Maldonado

The day is spend exploring the Amazon. trek Sandoval Lake followed by the Anaconda walk. At night go on a rainforest night walk.

Day 5: Puerto Maldonado

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cuzco. Upon arrival, we will drive to Sacred Valley making stops along the way for lunch and visit Santo Domingo and Pisac markets.

Day 6 : Sacred Valley

Experience a Mother Earth Andean religious ritual and a visit to Ollantaytambo Fortress, followed by a visit to Chinchero for a weaving demonstration at Nilda Canallaupa´s workshop.

Day 7: Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu – Cuzco

Take the Vistadome train to Machu Picchu and visit this architectural wonder. After lunch return to Cuzco on the Vistadome train.

Day 8: Cuzco

Visit Sacsayhuaman fortress followed by lunch at a local family’s home. Spend the afternoon at your leisure.

Day 9: Cuzco - Puno

On this approximately 8 hour shared tour bus ride to Puno, stop along the route to see Andahuaylillas, Racchi, Pucará and La Raya Pass.

Day 10: Puno

Full day excursion to Uros and Taquile islands by fast boat on a shared basis, followed by lunch with a local family.

Transfer to airport for your flight to Lima for your onward journey home.
