Day 1

Arrive in Bogota

Transfer to hotel and rest.

Day 2

Bogota

Be part of Bogota’s special Ciclovia day (only on Sundays) and ride bikes through the various neighborhoods and participate with the locals in various activities. In the afternoon, we will go on a City Walking tour and visit famous sights like the Gold Museum, Botero Museum, Plaza Bolivar and others.

Day 3

Bogota/Villa de Leyva

In the morning go up Monserrate Mountain to catch the view of Bogota. Later transfer to Villa de Leyva and on the way, stop to see the Nemocon sale mines.

Day 4

Villa de Leyva

We will go on a walking tour of Villa de Leyva followed by a visit to a farm followed by a BBQ lunch made by the locals. You will also taste some traditional desserts/sweets. After lunch, the locals will teach you how to play the national game Tejo and share a traditional drink made by them.

Day 5

Raquira/ Armenia

In the morning, we will visit the city of Raquira (City of Pots), and transfer from there to Bogota Airport for our flight to Armenia, part of the famous coffee triangle.

Day 6

Armenia/Valle de Cocora

Take a day tour to Valle de Cocora to see Colombia’s famous wax palm forest. We will enjoy a traditional lunch as a local restaurant.

Day 7

Armenia

We will visit a coffee farm and factory where you will experience how the world-famous Colombian coffee is produced. Indulge yourselves is some coffee sweet tastings, preparation of plantains and a BBQ lunch. In the afternoon, we will transfer to the airport to fly to Cartagena. After arrival in Cartagena, we will transfer to the hotel and later in the evening enjoy what every Colombian does – rum tasting!

Day 8

Cartagena

In the morning, we will tour San Basilio de Palenque – the first freed town in the Americas. We will enjoy a traditional dance presentation and lunch. In the afternoon, we will take a walking tour around Cartagena combined with a Street Food Tour – where you can walk and sample food through the streets of Cartagena and immerse yourself in the daily lives of Cartagena through music, architecture, history, art and culture.

Day 9

Cartagena / Depart for U.S

Transfer to the airport for your flight home. (B)
