Bogota - Villa de Leyva - Armenia - Pereira - Cartagena

Start your trip in Bogota, the capital city of the emerging nation. Head to the nearby colonial town of Villa del Leyva. Fly into the heart of the coffee region, Armenia where you will experience walking through the wax palm forest and spend time at a coffee farm. End your trip in the coastal city of Cartagena and experience the culinary scene there.

Day 1: Arrive Bogota

Arrive in Bogota. You will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2: Bogota

Historical city tour and visit Usaquen market. If it is a Sunday, participate in Bogota’s ciclovia tradition where you can bike on miles of roads closed to traffic and engage with locals enjoying their Sunday tradition.

Day 3: Zipaquira/ Villa de Leyva

Drive to Zipaquira to visit the famous underground salt mine and cathedral. Head to the colonial town of Villa de Leyva

Day 4 : Villa de Leyva – Armenia

Tour Villa de Leyva. After lunch we will drive to Bogota Airport for our flight to Armenia, the heart of the coffee region.

Day 5: Salento / Montenegro

Hike the stunning Cocora Valley surrounded by Quindio wax palm trees, the national tree of Colombia.

Day 6: Armenia-Pereira-Cartagena

Visit a coffee farm and learn everything about the world of coffee from planting to the finished cup of coffee. Later we head to the airport for our flight to Cartagena and enjoy the evening with rum tasting.

Day 7: Cartagena

Walking tour of the city followed by a 2 hour street food tour where you will taste local delicacies. Enjoy an evening carriage ride to dinner.

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey home.
